Basketball Game Preview: Bluffton Tigers vs. Woodlan Warriors

Bluffton is 2-8 against Woodlan since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bluffton Tigers will host the Woodlan Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Bluffton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Woodlan likes a good challenge.

Bluffton is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Wabash: they outscored them in every quarter. Bluffton was the clear victor by a 78-52 margin over Wabash on Tuesday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Isabella Stout continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 12 of 18 on her way to 27 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maryn Schreiber, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Woodlan strolled past Adams Central with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 60-43. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Flying Jets are ranked 321st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Woodlan's win came from a few key players Bluffton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alyssa Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. Brooke Kneubuhler was another key player, almost dropping a triple-double on 13 points, ten boards, and nine assists.

Bluffton's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.5 points. As for Woodlan, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
