Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Great Falls Red Devils 15-7 on Monday. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 win the Red Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2018.
Logan Olney was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Phillips, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Great Falls only posted a batting average of .231.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Andrew Jackson at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Great Falls, they will welcome North Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Falls is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
