Softball Recap: Sonoma Valley Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Sonoma Valley's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Casa Grande Gauchos on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Dragons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sonoma Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Casa Grande, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5-1.

Looking ahead, Sonoma Valley will welcome Vintage at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Casa Grande, they will face off against Napa at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.64 runs per game on average), something the Gauchos will no doubt try to take advantage of.
