Basketball Recap: Burnet Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Burnet, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They strolled past the Brownwood Lions with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 61-45. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 48-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Burnet pushed their record up to 9-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Brownwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.

Burnet will be home for the holidays to greet Marble Falls at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Brownwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Brady at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
