Football Recap: Eldred Yellowjackets vs. Catkill/Cairo-Durham
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eldred). They blew past Catkill/Cairo-Durham 42-12 on Friday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-6.
Eldred had a senior duo take command as Koen McGill rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries and James Deyermond gained 155 total yards and three touchdowns. McGill is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 136 every time he's taken the field this season. Connor Ranaudo got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Eldred was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
