Recap: St. Ignatius Wildcats vs. Richmond Heights Spartans
After a string of three wins, the St. Ignatius Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 74-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Richmond Heights. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as St. Ignatius came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Richmond Heights is ranked 92nd).
St. Ignatius' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reece Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was Robinson's third in a row with at least ten points. Damon Friery was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds.
St. Ignatius' loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Richmond Heights, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
