Football Game Preview: Victory Christian Academy Storm vs. Lakeland Christian Vikings + How To Watch

The Victory Christian Academy Storm will head out on the road to take on the Lakeland Christian Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Victory Christian Academy is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Victory Christian Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Carrollwood Day last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Storm were outmatched by the Patriots and fell 49-7. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Patriots are ranked 52nd).

Meanwhile, Lakeland Christian's offense rose to the challenge against a Stallions defense that boasted an average of only 13.25 points allowed on Friday. The Vikings took down American Heritage 42-28. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Lakeland Christian's win came from a few key players Victory Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was AJ Truedell, who rushed for 198 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. He has become a key player for Lakeland Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Cael Straub did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 50 receiving yards.

Victory Christian Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lakeland Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
