Volleyball Game Preview: Summit Country Day Silver Knights vs. Versailles Tigers

The Summit Country Day Silver Knights will face off against the Versailles Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Summit Country Day sitting on six straight victories and Versailles on 12.

Summit Country Day is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Miami East 3-0.

Fairbanks typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Versailles proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1.

Versailles had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-19.

Versailles' win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Summit Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 22-4.

Summit Country Day couldn't quite get it done against Versailles when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Tigers' Rowan Schmitmeyer, who had 30 assists and 16 digs.
