Softball Recap: Blue Eye Comes Up Short

If Blue Eye was feeling good fresh off their 19-6 takedown of Verona last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Sparta Trojans on Thursday, falling 10-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Blue Eye's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sparta, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Blue Eye didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-5 loss against Billings on the 14th. As for Sparta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-4 defeat against Reeds Spring on the 12th.
