Baseball Recap: Goochland Comes Up Short

If Goochland was riding high fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Amelia County on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 11-2 to the Charlottesville Black Knights on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Black Knights earlier this season, when they won 8-4.

Goochland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Charlottesville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

The future could be bright for both Goochland and Charlottesville: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Bulldogs will look to extend Albemarle's six-game losing streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Charlottesville will try to hand Monticello their third-straight loss when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
