Football Game Preview: North Panola Cougars vs. Independence Wildcats + How To Watch

North Panola and Independence are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Panola has given up an average of 34 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Panola is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 39 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Coahoma County on Friday. They lost 36-12 to the Red Panthers. The Cougars were down 30-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Although North Panola took the loss, they still got scores from Rod'Kevian Holliday and Stetson Rayford.

Meanwhile, Independence entered their tilt with Holly Springs last Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed past the Hawks to the tune of 47-6. That looming 47-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.

North Panola now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Independence, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
