Franklin and Coronado are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2020, but likely not for long. The Franklin Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Coronado Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Franklin fell victim to Pebble Hills and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Spartans are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Eastlake, falling 4-0. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Thunderbirds struggled afterwards.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Franklin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

Franklin beat Coronado 4-2 when the teams last played back in January. Does Franklin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Coronado turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
