Recap: Pilot Point Bearcats vs. Boyd Yellowjackets
The Pilot Point Bearcats fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Boyd Yellowjackets on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 58-51 to the Yellowjackets. Pilot Point has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Trey Robinson, who scored 27 points for Boyd. Robinson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lex Horton, who scored 14 points.
Pilot Point's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Boyd, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pilot Point will face off against Valley View at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley View has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14. As for Boyd, they will head out on the road to challenge Callisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Callisburg is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
