Basketball Recap: Anthony Saunders' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Miller School of Albemarle over 1 of 1 Academy

After flying high against Tri-Cities Christian on Friday, Miller School of Albemarle came back down to earth. The Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks fell 67-59 to the 1 of 1 Academy - on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 93rd in Virginia, while the - are ranked 13th in North Carolina).

Miller School of Albemarle lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Anthony Saunders, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Crissman, who posted 12 points and three blocks.

Miller School of Albemarle's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for 1 of 1 Academy, their record is now 16-3.
