Volleyball Recap: Augusta's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Augusta came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Solon Springs Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Beavers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kadyn Kirkham paced Augusta's offense, picking up seven kills. Kirkham got some help from Brooklyn Krueger and her 13 assists. Kirkham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Augusta's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Solon Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Augusta has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Flambeau on the 11th. As for Solon Springs, they will venture away from home to take on Mercer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
