Softball Recap: Woodmore Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Woodmore couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 6-2 to the Gibsonburg Golden Bears on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Woodmore's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Gibsonburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Woodmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gibsonburg, they will square off against Wynford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Royals will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Golden Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
