Baseball Recap: Pottstown Takes a Loss

Pottstown extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-11. They lost 12-0 to the Exeter Township Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 13-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for Exeter Township, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. That 12-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Exeter Township's part, they let Liam Porter and Jake Hafer run wild. Porter went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Hafer went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave Porter a new career-high. Mason Goodhart was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pottstown will venture away from home to face off against Owen J. Roberts at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Exeter Township, they will head out on the road to challenge Wilson at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
