Webster County took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Calhoun, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Highlanders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Red Devils on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Highlanders have beaten the Red Devils on their field since April 16, 2019.

Webster County got a big performance out of Kalob Amos, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Joston Lewis, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Webster County's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Calhoun, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Webster County has already played their next game, a 13-3 loss against Wahama on the 24th. As for Calhoun, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-11 defeat against Ravenswood on the 23rd.
