Josey had won seven straight home games dating back to last season and Kerri Fluellen did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Josey Eagles claimed a resounding 88-37 win over the Laney Wildcats thanks in part to Fluellen, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 47 games she's played dating back to last season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Nikayle Serrano, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 13 points. Those 13 points gave her a new career-high.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Memorie Rhodes, who posted 13 points. That was a full 35.1% of Laney's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Chiquita Gaffney was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Josey is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Laney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Josey has already played their next matchup, a 65-5 victory against Glenn Hills on the 29th. As for Laney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-54 win against Burke County on the 30th.
