Soccer Game Preview: Sheridan vs. Arvada

The Sheridan Rams will square off against the Arvada Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sheridan's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Sheridan's offense. They came up short against Englewood on Friday, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Sheridan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Englewood are ranked 97th).

Meanwhile, Arvada hadn't done well against Fort Lupton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bulldogs never let the Bluedevils get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for Arvada, who have now won three games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Fort Lupton with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nora Rice (2), Carmen Medina, Abigail Lopez Avila, and Chanel Rodriguez.

With the victory, Arvada broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. As for Sheridan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
