Volleyball Recap: Sunnyvale's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sunnyvale had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Newman Smith Trojans. Sunnyvale was shut out 2-0 the last time they took on Newman Smith, so Sunnyvale was just returning the favor.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-14, 25-17.

Sunnyvale's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Newman Smith, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Looking ahead, Sunnyvale will be playing at home against Kennedale at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newman Smith, they will head out to face off against Lone Star at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Trojans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
