New Castle has gone a perfect 4-0 against Frankton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. New Castle is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, New Castle didn't have quite enough to beat Muncie Burris and fell 3-2.

New Castle couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Muncie Burris a tough time in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 20-25, 25-20, 30-28, 15-10.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Frankton duked it out with Oak Hill on Thursday. The Eagles came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 3-0.

Frankton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 27-25, 25-17.

Frankton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for New Castle, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

New Castle took their victory against Frankton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
