Canon-McMillan proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 17) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Norwin Knights 4-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Big Macs, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Sebastian Shulsky tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alex Shank, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Canon-McMillan's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.5 runs across that stretch. As for Norwin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Norwin beat Canon-McMillan by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.
