Football Recap: East Greenwich Starts Season with Win at Home

East Greenwich took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 32-0 victory over the Toll Gate Titans. The Avengers pushed the score to 26-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Titans had little chance of recovering from.

East Greenwich was led to victory by Mark Bradshaw and Christian Bussiere. Bradshaw threw for 76 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, while Bussiere picked up 40 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Bradshaw has posted since back in September of 2024.

East Greenwich and Toll Gate will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Avengers will challenge rival Ponaganset at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. Meanwhile, Toll Gate is set to square off against their familiar foe Juanita Sanchez Complex at 1:00 p.m. on the 13th.
