Basketball Recap: Van Buren Takes a Loss

Van Buren was the 38-36 winner over Elmwood when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Van Buren Black Knights received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 40-25 to the Elmwood Royals.

Van Buren's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Elmwood, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van Buren will face off against Ada at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ada has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Elmwood, they will challenge Leipsic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
