Softball Recap: South Houston Comes Up Short

South Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lumberton Raiders, falling 27-9.

Emma Robles was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Arianna Aguirre, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

South Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lumberton, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

South Houston has already played their next matchup, a 15-0 loss against Nederland on the 21st. Lumberton has also already played their next game (against Anahuac), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
