Babylon has gone a perfect 8-0 against Port Jefferson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Royals at 2:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Babylon has four straight wins, Port Jefferson has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Babylon will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Mount Sinai, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Panthers took down the Mustangs 24-7 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Mustangs are ranked 142nd).

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Port Jefferson and John Glenn, and John Glenn kept the tradition alive. The Royals took a blow against the Knights on Saturday, falling 47-7.

Port Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Babylon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Babylon strolled past Port Jefferson when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a score of 32-13. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
