Softball Recap: Bishop Stang Takes a Loss

Bishop Stang was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 5-2 to St. Mary. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against St. Mary's this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in April.

Sophia Morales was cooking despite her team's loss, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases. Ava Texeira was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Bishop Stang's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for St. Mary's, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Bishop Stang will face off against New Bedford at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Mary's, they are taking a road trip to challenge Arlington Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
