The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Somerville in their matchups with Lynn English: they've now lost eight in a row.
Medford's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. As for Somerville, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3.
