Basketball Game Preview: Ashland Clockers vs. Millis Mohawks

The Ashland Clockers will head out on the road to take on the Millis Mohawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Ashland has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Millis will arrive with three straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Ashland took a blow against Medway, falling 67-22. The match marked the Clockers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Millis hadn't done well against Westwood recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Millis pulled ahead with a 54-53 photo finish over Westwood.

Ashland's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Millis, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Ashland didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Millis when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ashland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
