Basketball Recap: St. Johns Classical Academy Comes Up Short

St. Johns Classical Academy lost against Global Outreach Charter Academy back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The St. Johns Classical Academy Lions were beaten by the Global Outreach Charter Academy Kodiaks 80-27. The defeat leaves the Lions without a win on the season.

Global Outreach Charter Academy was led to victory by Jensie Lugo-Torres and Camilo Sanchez. Lugo-Torres posted 21 points, while Sanchez put up 18 points. The dominant performance gave Sanchez a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Guerreri, who had nine points.

St. Johns Classical Academy's record is now 0-5. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, they moved to 1-6 with that win, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

St. Johns Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-40 loss against Halifax Academy on the 10th. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-69 victory against Temple Christian Academy on the 10th.
