Baseball Recap: Woodsboro Comes Up Short

Woodsboro fell victim to Kenedy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Kenedy Lions, falling 20-0. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

Woodsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Kenedy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Woodsboro is taking a road trip to square off against Refugio at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodsboro has given up an average of 11.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Kenedy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pettus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
