Basketball Recap: Edna Karr Piles Up the Points Against Carencro

Edna Karr was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Carencro on Thursday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 72-22 stomp they got against the Carencro Bears. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

Edna Karr found their leader in sophomore Cass Antoine, who posted 23 points. The matchup was Antoine's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Martin, who put up 11 points.

Edna Karr's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Carencro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Edna Karr won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cecilia at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Edna Karr is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.7 points per game this season. As for Carencro, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Iowa at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
