Football Game Preview: Baker Hornets vs. Vigor Wolves + How To Watch

Baker has gone a perfect 3-0 against Vigor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Hornets will look to defend their home field against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Baker's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four games.

Baker is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Fairhope, who was ranked 25th at the time (Baker was ranked 12th). The Hornets were the clear victors by a 35-10 margin over the Pirates on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won four in a row.

Baker got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tate Graham out in front who threw for 324 yards and two TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt. Graham's passing game has become a key predictor of the Hornets' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Khatori Marion was Graham's top target, picking up 148 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also punching in one rushing score.

Meanwhile, Vigor didn't have too much trouble with Rain on Friday as they won 22-6.

Vigor's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Baker, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Baker won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in October of 2024, slipping by Vigor 10-9. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
