Soccer Game Preview: Huffman vs. Jackson-Olin

The Huffman Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Jackson-Olin Mustangs at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson-Olin took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Huffman, who comes in off a win.

Huffman will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Clay-Chalkville on Monday. The Vikings never let the Cougars get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for Huffman, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Jackson-Olin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to Ramsay.

Huffman is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five contests. As for Jackson-Olin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything went Huffman's way against Jackson-Olin in their previous matchup back in February, as Huffman made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
