Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Irvington). They claimed a resounding 87-58 victory over the Newark Central Blue Devils. With the Blue Knights ahead 40-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Newark Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yasin Diggs-Saleem, who posted five points. Drean Aikins was another key player, putting up seven points and 11 boards.

Irvington pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Newark Central, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-12.
