Basketball Recap: Allendale-Fairfax Takes a Loss

Allendale-Fairfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 71-38 loss at the hands of the Lake Marion Gators. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Gators are ranked 141st).

Lake Marion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyren Salley, who went 5 for 9 en route to 10 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Miles, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Allendale-Fairfax's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Lake Marion, their record is now 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Allendale-Fairfax will face off against Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bamberg-Ehrhardt will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Allendale-Fairfax surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake Marion, they will square off against Edisto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Marion is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
