Softball Recap: Orange Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Orange's offense. They came up short against the Eastern Alamance Eagles on Thursday, falling 7-0. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly seven runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Orange and nudges their season record down to 6-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-5 Southern Alamance (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 64.9% over those games). As for Eastern Alamance, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Orange and Eastern Alamance will both be playing Southern Alamance the next time they take the field. Eastern Alamance will head out to face Southern Alamance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Orange will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on April 10.
