Basketball Recap: Morristown Continues Home Dominance on Monday

It's playoff time, and Morristown had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 54-44 victory over the Kennedy Knights on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Colonials in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won six in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Kennedy lost, don't look at My'Shayla Clancy. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 boards. The contest was Clancy's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zahniya Castillo, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Morristown pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Kennedy, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-7.

Morristown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-37 win against Union City on the 5th. Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
