Soccer Recap: Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heritage Huskies. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1. As for Heritage, they now have a winning record of 2-1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chapel Hill will host Cardinal Gibbons at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Cardinal Gibbons' last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Heritage, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Leesville Road at 6:15 p.m. Heritage's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Leesville Road's offense will have their work cut out for them.
