Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rye walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over the Brighton Bruins on Friday. The win was just business as usual for the Garnets, who after 14 games remain undefeated this season.

Rye had a senior duo take command as Carson Miller threw for 266 yards and three TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes and Henry Shoemaker picked up 132 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Shoemaker's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 117 receiving yards. A healthy portion of Miller's aerial production (83 yards to be exact) also went to Sebastian Lewis.

Rye didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Brighton to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Charlie Brady for the heroic effort on defense: he. Given Miller's standout performance, it's clear Brighton's secondary just wasn't on the same level.

Rye's record is now 14-0. As for Brighton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

As of now, neither Rye nor the Bruins have any future games scheduled.
