Basketball Recap: Fertile-Beltrami Comes Up Short

Fertile-Beltrami has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 77-70 to the Ada-Borup Cougars, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Ada-Borup got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Austin McCraven out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine assists. McCraven is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Larson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards.

Fertile-Beltrami's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Ada-Borup, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Fertile-Beltrami has already played their next matchup (against Fosston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ada-Borup has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal.
