Softball Recap: Benson Takes a Loss

Benson lost against St. David back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Benson Bobcats came up short against the St. David Tigers, falling 13-3. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Sadie Webb made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylei Taylor, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Benson's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for St. David, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benson will welcome Horizon Honors at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Benson has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for St. David, they will challenge Baboquivari at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
