Softball Game Preview: Fordland Eagles vs. Hartville Eagles

Fordland hasn't had much luck against Hartville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Fordland will take on Hartville at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Fordland and Mansfield, and Mansfield kept the tradition alive. The Eagles fell 8-4 to the Lions on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly four runs.

Meanwhile, Hartville came up short against Norwood on Monday, falling 8-2. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Hartville suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 5-2. As for Fordland, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Fordland couldn't quite get it done against Hartville when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 9-5. Can Fordland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
