Basketball Recap: Shelley Comes Up Short

If Shelley was riding high fresh off their 72-50 takedown of Thunder Ridge last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Shelley Russets took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison Bobcats on Thursday. The Russets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Shelley has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Madison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

As of now, neither Shelley nor Madison have any future games scheduled.
