Soccer Recap: Azle Comes Up Short

Azle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Fossil Ridge Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 770th, while the Panthers are ranked 292nd).

Azle's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Fossil Ridge, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Looking ahead, Azle will take on Granbury at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fossil Ridge, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Fossil Ridge duke it out with the Aledo at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
