Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Trinity Christian Warriors        
        
		
            
 Notre Dame was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight  loss. They suffered a  rough 9-1 defeat at the hands of the Trinity Christian Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Notre Dame of the  15-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in March.
 Notre Dame saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cole Goldizen, who  went 3-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 On Trinity Christian's side,  Parker Hopkins made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Hopkins was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Thomas Dinkel was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Bryson Sanders, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Trinity Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
 Notre Dame will head out on the road to  take on  Ritchie County at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Trinity Christian, they will be playing at home against Cameron at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Trinity Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.9  runs per game  this season.
