Recap: Hamilton Heights Huskies vs. Western Panthers

The Hamilton Heights Huskies's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They managed a 57-52 victory over Western. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hamilton Heights also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

Hamilton Heights' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Champion led the charge by scoring 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of John Irion, who scored 13 points.

Western's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Biggs, who scored 17 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Logan Nelson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.

Hamilton Heights' win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Western, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton Heights won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Western will be home for the holidays to greet Oak Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Hill is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
