Kings Mountain won the last time they faced Burns, and things went their way on Friday too. The Kings Mountain Mountaineers put the hurt on the Burns Bulldogs with a sharp 41-20 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mountaineers.
Josiah Hill had a dynamite game for Kings Mountain, rushing for 146 yards and four touchdowns. With that strong performance, Hill is now averaging an impressive 2.3 rushing touchdowns per game. Another player making a difference was William Vaughn, who picked up 163 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marshall McGowan, who rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 168 yards and a touchdown on only 13 passes.
