It was a good run, but Signal Mountain unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 10-1 to The Villages Charter Buffalo. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 20, 2024.

Signal Mountain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bo Cooper, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Max Rackel also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Signal Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for The Villages Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 13-4 record this season.
